JACK’s Bio

JACK is a journalist, inclusion activist and radio producer based in London-UK. He started to write for community magazines interviewing important musicians such as Cecil Taylor, Marshall Allen, Robert Wyatt, Christian Vander, George Benjamin, Arturo Sandoval, Jonathan Harvey and Daevid Allen among others.

Between 2011 and 2017, he produced Latin Waves, a radio programme for Resonance FM, a community art radio based in London, this programme was devoted to Latin American music from the roots to the avant-garde.

In 2016, he started another pioneering radio programme, Gate Kicks! for Resonance FM  with music made by people diagnosed with neurodiversity or learning disabilities based at The Gate Art Centre. This is a unique space in the UK and the most important platform in the world for these musicians, building bridges with many organisations such as Sonic Protest Festival, Café Oto, ICA, EFG London Jazz Festival, Iklectik, Heart n Soul, Club Soda and Carousel.

The path that he follows has not reached its end, Magik Circles is a pioneering route to discuss music, diversity, inclusivity, society and culture using a wide lens including features of the backstage crew, music producers, labels, shops and venues. We hope people could join us on this travel to discover more about this fascinating form of art, expression and community.
